Highlights

The Learning Passport (LP) continued its mission to transform education, expanding to 45 countries and reaching over 9.8 million learners globally. In 2024, the programme expanded to 7 new countries, adding 3.8 million new learners, and empowering 2.7 million educators with digital tools and resources.

The programme has made significant strides in ensuring equitable access to quality education with an emphasis on educator empowerment, innovation, inclusion, and technology. Examples include the LP Blended Learning Handbook, launched to equip educators with the practical tools, strategies, and insights needed to effectively integrate digital learning into physical classroom settings. Over 6,200 new courses, covering topics like AI literacy, climate education, and green skills were also introduced.

The LP advanced inclusive learning through initiatives like Honduras’ Travel and Learn and Lebanon’s Makani and Dirasa nonformal education programmes. The Offline LP was launched in 10 countries as well, ensuring learning continuity in areas like Brazil, Nigeria, and Sudan.
